And Beaulieu’s young netballers made it a Jersey double by retaining their title with a comfortable 8-2 victory over Westbourne House in the final.

Beaulieu reached their netball final by topping their group and then beating Guernsey’s Les Bouchamps 3-2 in the semi-final.
Westbourne won a last-four thriller, 5-4, against St Michael’s Kent.
Graham Arkley, director of sport at St Michael’s School in Kent said: ‘We’ve been coming here for eight years and the tournament is superbly organised by St Michael’s and the spirit of the competition is excellent from all the schools.
‘We’re not as strong as we have been in previous years but it’s great to come over and play so many different teams.
‘What’s great about it is in the UK you play the same schools year in year out, so coming to Jersey is a great opportunity to forge links with other schools and play against the island sides who show a more raw style of sevens rugby.
Kevin Smith of Westbourne School said: ‘We’ve had our fair share of success but whether you win or not it’s a great tournament.
The children have such a good time and as the current holders we’ll be hoping to retain the title.’ Jill Pearson, head of girls games at Westbourne House School in Chichester said: ‘It ticks all the boxes as far as we are concerned.
It’s a flight away so the children feel like we’ve gone abroad, the competition is a really good standard and it’s so well arranged by St Michael’s and we’re really grateful to them – every second is filled.’ Daphne Barkworth, PE co-ordinator at Skippers Hill said: ‘So far it is the best we’ve ever done.
We’re only a small school and we’ve had to combine our Years Seven and Eight to bring a team over.
We’ve been involved in the tournament for 11 years and we look forward to coming every year.
The girls are normally exhausted by the end of it but they love every second of it.’
