The qualification took him over four years to complete and included some training at the university and a 30,000-word dissertation on risk assessment.
Mr Dark joined the Transport Department eight years ago as a trainee.
Prior to that he worked in the oil industry for ten years, both in the North Sea and the Middle East, but moved to Jersey with his wife, who is from the Island.
