The heat from the diesel-fuelled fire was so intense that one of the large showroom windows was blown out. A four-wheel drive Mercedes ML420 CDI and a C200 CDI, worth a total of £95,000 were damaged by fire on the forecourt outside the showroom. Inside, a £76,000 SL500 was badly heat-damaged and may also be a write-off. Firefighters were called at around 3 am by a neighbour of the Rue Fondon site.
