After two-and-a-half years of applications by barn owner Ken Moore, Planning Minister Freddie Cohen has approved controversial plans to develop Fauvic Barn, on Grouville Coast Road. But Senator Cohen has imposed a number of conditions on the renovation to make sure that the historic building is protected for future generations. The owner will not be allowed to change the exterior of the barn, and will have to keep the Planning Department informed during the development. They will also be required to make room for two parking spaces instead of one.
