Airline Bmi will begin the service on 26 March, linking the Island with London’s premier airport for the first time in seven years. A Bmi spokesman said: ‘Advanced bookings for our new Jersey to Heathrow service are doing extremely well and are above our initial expectations. ‘April and May bookings are looking particularly strong. Seats for the new service have been available for only three weeks and we have already taken well over 3,000 bookings which is very encouraging. Our lowest one way fare Jersey to Heathrow of just £27 including all taxes is proving to be very popular.’
