The deputy director of the Radiation Protection Division of the UK Health Protection Agency, Dr John Stather, and Dr James Rubin of the Mobile Phones Research Unit at King’s College in London have been invited to the Island by a Scrutiny panel. The two witnesses will give evidence about their research into the impact of exposure to radiation, and the latest developments in health protection standards during the hearing from 7 pm at the Town Hall. Both will answer questions from the audience at the meeting after giving introductory talks. Health Minister Stuart Syvret, who has responsibility for public health issues, will give evidence to the panel the following day.
