Comptroller and Auditor General Chris Swinson has launched a website which will allow members of the public and civil servants to report problems and mistakes anonymously.
He wants people to use the site – www.auditorgeneral-jersey.org – to get his reports and to suggest possible areas for investigation.
Mr Swinson said: ‘Under the legal obligations of the office, it is the responsibility of the Comptroller and Auditor General to examine all referrals made, but the basis on which a decision to investigate or not will depend on whether it would be an effective use of resources in protecting the public interest.
‘It is normal procedure for Comptrollers and Auditors General to offer such a service, and I am pleased that we are able to make this facility available through the new website.
There are clear procedures on what and what not to do, and it is important for any concerned employee, and the whole process, that proper procedures are followed.
