Health and Safety Manager Keith Shaw said the college was eager to sign up for the campaign in the hope that young people might never pick up the habit of driving with a mobile phone.
Over 2,500 computers now bear the Hands Off logo as their screensaver which relays the message daily to thousands of students.
Mr Shaw said: ‘From a college point of view, we are always keen to ensure that students are kept aware of issues like this.
This is a post-16 college so many students are learning to drive or have just passed their tests.
If we can start educating people as they are learning, then we could stop them from getting into the habit.’
