The 16-year-old Beaulieu student helped the Great Britain team of three to the silver position, before taking bronze in the individual compound bow section for 16-and-under archers.
Lucy’s father, Tony, said: ‘Lucy has worked very hard over the last two years just to qualify for the championships.
We’re blown away by this result – to have finished in the top ten would have been an achievement but to finish third is a great result.
Lucy was very excited with her success.’ Lucy, who is seeded second in her age group in Europe, shot 144 arrows on the FITA scoring system to qualify for the head-to-head shoot-outs of 12 arrows per person.
She then came through four head-to-heads to win the bronze with a score of 114.
Mr O’Sullivan added: ‘Lucy has been away for ten days and we are looking forward to seeing her back home again.
We’ve also found out in the last couple of days that she is now ranked seventh in Great Britain, having shot regularly in the GB League all season.’
