Brian Neill’s company still owns eight flats in Roseville Street but he has not been since disappearing from near his home in Spain in 2004.

His bank accounts have not been touched and his business interests are being looked after by his daughter Lindsey who still holds out hope that her father has disappeared to start a new life.

Spanish police have investigated but without a body the case is now dormant.

Mr Neill’s son Stephen – with whom Mr Neill had a strained relationship – was questioned at length but has denied involvement in his father’s disappearance.

Mr Neill’s friends in Jersey are convinced that he has been killed and that he was not the kind of man to vanish of his own volition.
