She was chosen from the 20 finalists who appeared at yesterday’s Seaside Festival at Havre des Pas.
The event was compèred by Alan Donald, who asked each of the girls a bit about themselves and why they wanted to be involved in this week’s Battle.
The contest was watched by more than 100 people.
The girls gave all kinds of reasons as to why they wanted to take part – from the colour and the music on the floats to how lovely Miss Battle looked.
Judges Simon Thomas, Christine Letto and Rachel Crawford said that it had been a difficult decision.
Ms Letto said: ‘Katie had lots of confidence, and she is the right size and right age for a Junior Miss Battle.
They all did very well, and it was so hard to choose.
It has been a big day for all of them.’
