Property tycoon Mr Wilde has bought big chunks of shares in Southampton FC over recent months and is now trying to force change.
An emergency general meeting will be asked to replace the board with new members.
In a statement, Mr Wilde said he had carried out a detailed review of the club and had reached conclusions that changes are needed to allow Southampton to return to the Premiership.
The championship side, now managed by George Burley, were relegated at the end of last season.
Mr Wilde said if stability and continuity are to be ensured for the coming season, any significant changes need to be in place well before the return of the first team squad on 27 June.
