On pitch one at Les Quennevais, Romerils took 39 points from their 42-run win after being put in to bat first.
Romeril’s scored 210 for 7 in their allotted 45 overs, Ian Crocker and Martin Waite top-scoring with 47 and 43 respectively.
Top wicket-taker for OVs was Phil Le Cornu, with three for 45 in nine overs.
Only nine boundaries were scored in the game, all by Romerils.
Opener Chris Jones held OVs’ innings together with a stubborn 61 while Bobby Minty contributed with 34.
OVs were dismissed for 168 with 21 balls remaining.
Skipper Peter Blackburn and Mark Saralis each took three wickets for 12 and 29 runs respectively.
They received good support from Nigel Crocker who conceded just 21 runs in nine-over spell.
SCF, who have a game in hand, took the maximum 40 points after thrashing Caesareans by 227 runs at FB1.
Despite the early loss of Matt Hague for a duck, Sporting Club amassed 299 for seven following an excellent 138 from Justin Le Fort and former Caesarean Meeku Patidar with 68.
Le Fort struck ten boundaries and Patidar five 4s and two 6s.
Caesareans were skittled for 72 in 26 overs, Mark Reynolds taking four wickets for 31 runs and Tim Kearsey two wickets for no runs.
St Ouen, who are second, took 40 points after defeating Springfield by 123 runs at Grainville.
The Saints’ 250 for nine consisted of 61 from Dave Morfee (seven 4s) and 43 (four 4s and two 6s) by Jamie Brewster Alan Lesbirel and Simon Parker both took three wickets in eight overs.
Michael Woodrow top-scored with 57, off 35 balls, in Springfield’s reply of 127.
Morfee grabbed three wickets and Brewster three catches.
Springfield 2nds are the early leaders in Division I following yesterday’s six-wicket success against St Ouen 2nds at FB1.
Paul Robson and William Pretorius put on a second-wicket partnership of 134.
