The Environment Scrutiny Panel want to hear from Islanders who live in developments that only meet minimum specification.
Homes with sliding doors that only take under-sized furniture, have no storage space and can become a struggle to sell on, will be the focus of the panel’s investigations over the coming months.
They want to look into suggestions that first-time buyers are having to cut the price of their homes in order to sell them and move up the property ladder, before reviewing the rules and specifications contained in the Island’s building bye-laws.
