Senator Philip Ozouf told the States this morning that talks had been held or were scheduled with Emeraude, parent company Sogestran and competitors Condor to make sure that there were enough ferries running.

In the first question to a minister under the new system – asked by Deputy Roy Le Hérissier under emergency provisions – Senator Ozouf said that the policy agreed by the previous Harbours Committee to move from ‘open seas’ arrangements to a set of service level agreements would be put on hold, and a decision would be taken in March.
