There were around 50 riders competing over some very difficult routes, but Lees-Baker’s skill saw him finish second, with 78 points, to regular class winner Mac du Feu who had 71.

Neil Venton finished second in the competitive B route, in which there were just 18 points between second and eighth positions.

Another new face on Sunday was that of Christian Huelin who competed very well in the Small Wheel Class.

The usual tussle in the Junior C route continues, though with Chris Vibert still on top.
