Well-taken nodded goals from junior Darren A’Court and former Muratti striker Gary Freeman booked a final place against either Grouville Reserves or Trinity Reserves at Springfield next month.
St Peter manager Bernie Hopley said: ‘Overall I thought it was pretty even and it was played sportingly.
We took our half-chances better than them and that was the difference on the night.
Defensively we are giving little away in games at the moment and that’s down to goalkeeper Gary Lloyd and sweeper Leigh A’Court both playing well.
‘Darren A’Court was my man-of-the-match.
For such a young lad he is performing well and the looping header he scored from 18 yards was well directed.’ Nomads manager Peter Herridge said: ‘I think our goalkeeper made two kicked clearances in the first half while the other time he touched the ball was to pick it out of the net.
‘We played some excellent football but Ged O’Donoghue was twice denied by the woodwork in the first half, firstly from a free kick and then after lobbing the ‘keeper.
‘We’ve had some silly setbacks of late and we now have to concentrate and get back to winning ways.
Promotion to Division I is our aim and with players to come back from injury and suspension I believe we have a great chance.
‘We finished last season with ten wins and one draw; if we can match that sequence again I’ll be more than happy.’
