There were also two cars burnt out in St Malo over the weekend as the rioting in France spread to all corners of the country.
However, at this stage it is not known whether the incidents in St Malo were related to the riots or whether they were copycat crimes.
The disturbances, which are now into their 11th day, escalated and have seriously affected some areas of nearby Rennes and Nantes.
Across the country 1,408 vehicles have been burnt out and 395 people have been arrested.
The main problem areas are those towns and cities with large African and Arab communities since the deaths of two youths in the rundown Paris suburb of Clichy-sous-Bois, who were accidentally electrocuted at an electricity sub-station after reportedly fleeing police.
In St Malo, a popular short-stay destination for Islanders, the only trouble so far has been the vandalism of two cars.
But this morning, a spokeswoman for the city’s tourist office said that the police were unsure whether the incidents were race related.
