The move by low-cost airline Flybe was rejected because it involved night flying but the airline says it is now time for politicians to re-evalaute policy.

However, the airline’s proposal did not reach politicians.

Four of the five members of Harbours and Airport confirmed the matter had not been put before the committee and they had no knowledge of it.

Committee president Senator Len Norman could not be contacted for comment as to whether or not he knew about the move.

Airport director Mike Lanyon was out of the Island and unavailable for comment.
