The aim of the awards is to highlight marketing talent and reward those who can show measurable success.
This year, for the first time, there will be an award for the Student Marketeer of the Year, to recognise students who have attained the highest grades in the CIM’s Professional Certificate, Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma.
The other award categories are: Marketing Achievement of the Year, awarded to the entry which the judges consider to be the benchmark in excellence for the rest of the industry.
Best Marketing Campaign on a Low Budget, for campaigns costing less than £10,000.
Best Customer Retention Programme, to recognise local marketing activity which has improved customer retention and revenues.
Best Use of Traditional Media, including print, direct mail, television and radio.
Best Use of New Media, including internet, e-mail marketing and text messaging.
Public Relations Campaign of the Year, including media relations, sponsorship, internal communication, corporate hospitality or corporate social responsibility programmes.
Also for the first time the awards will be judged by a panel of UK and Channel Island specialists, rather than one single judge.
The closing date is Friday 9 September, with presentations at a gala dinner on Friday 28 October at the Hotel de France.
