Jersey’s Martin Speller has moved up to sixth position following an improved second day.
He had finishes of seventh, sixth and fifth.
In the laser standard rig, Brett Wright of Bermuda is in terrific form, having won five of the six races, but the Jersey pair of Jeff Speller and Joel Lucas are also performing well.
Speller, in the silver medal position, is just seven points behind after his four runner-up spots, followed by Lucas, a further ten points adrift.
The scores allow for one race to be discarded.
