After two years of watching from the sidelines, Jack was due to begin racing this September when he will be six – the minimum age for a junior competitor.
But his aspirations were scuppered when on Saturday 2 July it was discovered that his yellow and blue Husqvarna 50 cc – one of only two of its kind in the Island – had been taken from a shed at Weld It Ltd in St Lawrence.
His family had stretched themselves financially to afford the bike because of their son’s unrelenting passion for racing and his new bike was bought specifically for him to begin racing this September.
