Hervieu was at Croyde, Devon, for the event arranged by ex-Olympian Denise Austin which was attended by players from all over the world who compete for king and queen of the beach awards.

And Hervieu won her own pool and came ninth overall.

She said: ‘You play with different partners and end up with your own score.

I was pleased that in the windy conditions and incredible temperatures I managed well – it’s a big achievement because many of the people are international and Olympic players.’ Now Hervieu and Nicki Appleton will be defending their Weymouth silver plate series title and are looking to enter the triple AAA Grand Prix series for top-rated players.
