All three top-flight games were affected by the weather, two were completed using the complicated Duckworth/Lewis scoring system while SCF and Springfield played a 37-overs-a-side match.
Jersey Cricket Association secretary Ron Halliwell said: ‘There was a bit of confusion with the Duckworth/Lewis system at the Sporting Club game and it was because of the inexperience of the umpires.
The system has hardly been used in Jersey previously and we will endeavour to get things sorted for next time it may be needed.
‘The adjustments were made after we took an early tea which meant we only lost 20 minutes of play and not 40.
It’s a learning curve for everyone in the game and we will have to sort it out as it will be used in matches when we join ICC competitions.’ Steve Carlyon scored the first century of the season as SCF defeated Springfield by 103 runs at Grainville.
Carlyon hit 20 fours on his way to 135 and he also featured in a second-wicket partnership of 177 with Ben Silva (56, four boundaries).
Lewis Williams played solidly to hit a half-century for the losers including seven fours.
Old Victorians reached a revised target of 95 to defeat Romerils at Les Quennevais while St Ouen defeated Caesareans by five wickets.
Tony Carlyon top-scored in the match with 57 for Caesareans Gary Kynman hit St Ouen’s winning runs – a massive six into the car park at the St Clement’s Inner Road end of FB1 – off the first ball of the final over.
St Ouen Reserves made it two wins in two games in Division I yesterday.
Gemma Dunning made it seven wickets in two games with three wickets for 12 runs in a four-over spell in a seven-wicket win against LTJJCA.
Pat Dean opened the bowling well with three maidens in his eight overs grabbing three wickets for 16 runs.
Opening Suthan led Springfield Reserves to victory against St Brelade with an undefeated 51 including six fours.
