Sri Lankan spin bowler Muttiah ‘Murali’ Muralitharan has confirmed he will be accompanied by his test captain Aravinda de Silva and wicket-keeper Kumar Sangakeera.
It is hoped the players will hold a coaching session on Saturday 25 June as well as being the star guests at a dinner and auction which is to be held at Trinity Manor that night.
Further top sportsmen and celebrities are likely to join them for what promises to be one of the biggest sporting occasions in the Island for years.
The Sri Lankan stars are also bringing unique memorabilia with them for an auction which will be conducted by cricket fan, novelist and former prisoner Lord Archer, including a cricket ball signed by Murali, Shane Warne and Courtney Walsh – three of the world’s greatest bowlers.
