The firm has taken a lease on the former Bank of Ireland building, at Bourne House in Francis Street.
The premises were officially declared open last Thursday by the Island’s Lieut-Governor, Air Chief Marshal Sir John Cheshire.
From this week the Channel Island firm will be bringing all of its divisions under the Sigma brand, including Officemaker and the Collins retail and wholesale stationery, supplies, and printing business.
Sigma also offer Pitman courses in the Island and a range of computer services, including consultancy, systems design, cabling, communications, hardware and software supply, and engineering maintenance.
Chief executive Robert Sillars said the move had brought all customer-facing staff and those involved in sales and training under one roof, which would hopefully build brand awareness.
‘We have been expanding the business, but we find that people have not been aware of how big we have grown,’ he said.
‘Previously we had different websites, different e-mail addresses, although it’s all part of the same company.
CDP Sigma was originally formed from a merger in 1989 of Channel Data Processing and Sigma Computing in Guernsey.
The group acquired Jersey business Collins Ltd in 1992 and then Aztec in Guernsey.
There are now over 180 staff – 115 in Jersey and 65 in Guernsey – with around 50% employed in service and support activities.
Anticipated turnover this year is in excess of £11 million.
