The Jersey Control Team are celebrating after picking up the team honour at the Alpha Heroes 2005, the airport industry’s largest employee incentive and awards scheme.
The awards were presented at an official black tie ceremony at Birmingham’s ICC following an in-depth judging process.
The 3,000 nominations from across Alpha’s UK, Jersey and Ireland businesses were whittled down to leave the Jersey team reigning triumphant.
The award is in recognition of their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to their jobs.
Attendees were warmed up for the main event by a day of team building, the highlight of which was Alpha’s very own version of Family Fortunes.
This was hosted by Les Dennis himself and set the scene for a night of friendly competition and celebration.
Kevin Abbott, chief executive of Alpha Airports Group, said: ‘The staff at Jersey have really excelled this year, showing exceptional levels of commitment and ability and epitomising the hard-working Heroes attitude.
Their success is extremely well deserved.
