The band won the third section of the London and Southern Counties Besson National Brass Band Championships on Saturday and are now looking for sponsorship to be able to take part in the finals.
This weekend the 25 brass players, two percussionists and conductor Gavin Saynor played Tam O’Shanter’s Ride, by Denis Wright, at the Arts and Leisure Centre in Stevenage against 17 other bands.
They achieved top marks and band manager Adam Griffiths said that they were now looking forward to preparing for the finals in Yorkshire in September.
