It is the equivalent of more than £20 for every man, woman and child in the Island.
A symbolic cheque for the full amount will be handed over tomorrow to Sir Nick Young, chief executive of the British Red Cross.
He is flying into the Island especially for the official appeal’s grand finale.
The Red Cross this week began sending out posters thanking donors across Britain for their remarkable response – raising £628 million – and Sir Nick has personalised those that will be distributed in Jersey.
He has added the message: ‘To the wonderfully generous people of Jersey, thank you!’
