Occupiers of properties in Clearview Street and Albert Street are objecting to an application to demolish 27 Clearview Street to make way for seven one-bedroom flats with eight parking spaces.

They have enlisted the help of St Helier Deputy Jackie Hilton, who chaired the planning committee which rejected the application twice The Planning applications sub-committee are due to consider Manzoni Ltd’s proposals tomorrow.

Deputy Hilton said: ‘Some local and longstanding residents of Clearview Street and Albert Street contacted me in relation to concerns on the redevelopment of the above location.

I wish to express my concern at this proposed development.’
