The States Tenants Action group (STAG) has announced its full support for the demonstration when the issue is debated by the House.
The silent protest is being organised by the Senior Citizens Association but looks likely to be supported by a large number of Islanders.
The TGWU has already pledged its backing.
STAG president Denise Carroll has urged her members to take part: ‘This will affect us all, some harder than others, and as we all head for old age it is time to play your part.’
