Gascoyne eventually finished with four wickets for 36 runs off three overs helping restrict Centurions A to 85 for 8 off 12 overs.
Nigel Crocker and Mark Saralis’s three-over spells were economical, Crocker taking two wickets for 11 runs and Saralis unrewarded for 12 runs.
Air Con paced their reply to perfection, led by 40 (five 4s) from Saralis, to reach their target for the loss of five wickets with seven balls remaining.
The victory sets up Monday’s top-of-the-table match against Sporting Club, at FB2, Sporting Club last night maintaining their 100 per cent record after beating Abacus by 58 runs.
Bradley Vowden and Trevor Rousseau both scored half-centuries for the winners.
The pair put on 83 runs for the first wicket with Vowden (who has scored 179 Evening League runs already) hitting two 6s and five 4s.
Rousseau matched Vowden’s boundary count to top score with 53.
Although Abacus scored 14 runs off Nick Jewell’s first over they quickly fell behind the required run-rate to close on 109 for 5 – Peter Canham top-scoring with 25.
Champions St Ouen recorded a last-ball victory against Beeches for their first win of the campaign.
Dave Buxton and Jim Walls put on 90 for the first wicket, Walls striking five 4s and two 6s before being trapped leg before wicket by teenager Danny Blasco.
Walls reached his 50 off 32 balls.
Blasco and Ward Jenner grabbed three wickets apiece as Beeches closed on 123 for 7.
St Ouen skipper Mark Tribe said: ‘Jim batted well, no matter where our bowlers put the ball he managed to hit it to the leg side and well away from our fielders, it was pretty impressive.
‘We were behind the run-rate a bit but we managed to turn it around with one very good over from Paul Le Bihan.
He hit 18 runs off it including one big six to the leg side.
Rob Tewkesbury played the anchor role well and although he’s playing and misses quite a few balls his unbeaten 53 laid the foundation for the win.’
