ORGANISERS of the Supertri Pro Series Final have issued an urgent appeal for 30 additional marshals to help stage the RBC Race for the Kids next weekend.

Almost 1,000 young runners are expected to take part in the event at Jersey’s Waterfront on the morning of Sunday 6 September, raising money for the Jersey Child Care Trust.

It will be followed by the Supertri Pro Series Final, which is bringing some of the world’s best short-course triathletes back to the Island for the sixth time.

Organisers said the marshals were needed to help ensure that the running event was delivered safely and smoothly.

No previous experience is required, and volunteers only need to spare a couple of hours. They will receive a briefing, as well as tea and coffee on arrival.

Anyone able to support the event can register through the Supertri Volunteer Local website.
