A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a crash on the Esplanade at lunchtime.
The incident, which took place near the Gloucester Street junction at around 1pm, involved a car, van, motorcycle and coach.
It is understood that there were no serious injuries, with the car driver taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police, Honorary Police, Ambulance and the Fire Service went to the scene.
There was major traffic disruption in town following the crash, and the Tunnel was shut to westbound traffic for a time.
Police said the investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
