Sure given extension to fulfil 4G promises

The telecoms firm was allocated spectrum to provide 4G services in 2014, along with JT and Airtel, following the submission of bids which were evaluated by the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities.

As part of the deal each operator committed to a roll-out timetable and gave assurances on coverage and on how quickly customers would be able to access the services.

CICRA yesterday announced that it had accepted a request from Sure to give the operator more time to fulfil its commitments.
