Duathlon:Paul to take on the world

Paul will represent Great Britain in the 50-54 year olds event which will test her over a 10k run, a 40k cycle and a further 5k run.

And Judy sounds like she’s fired up and ready to battle it out against the world’s best duathletes in the competition on Sunday.

The former JCG student said: ‘Since the Europeans I’ve been training six days a week and it’s been hard, the toughest thing I’ve ever done but I’ve had two great trainers in Sue Munns and Craig Meredith.

‘I’ve had everything thrown at me with injuries and things I wasn’t expecting but I’ve had great support from friends, colleagues and my employers Bedell which has been keeping me going.

‘I’m really chuffed to be representing Britain and Jersey and I’m going to go out there to enjoy it as well as participate.

Of course I want to do well and to finish in the top half would be great – anything better would be tremendous.’ Paul, sponsored by the Bedell Group, added: ‘I’m as confident as I can be and totally focused and I know when I get there I’ll have done everything I could have.’
