Police investigate racism claims over refugee play

Men from Syria, Iraq and Turkey, who have been granted asylum in the Netherlands, are due to take part in a production at the Jersey Arts Centre tonight and tomorrow which is being produced by Love Theatre in conjunction with the Jersey Cares; Refugee Aid Group.

The show explores the Island’s response to the refugee crisis and includes interviews with Islanders and the refugees.

One man wrote ‘Shoot them job done!’ while others suggested Islanders should ‘lock up their daughters’ and increase security at their homes.
