Martyn Siodlak, who today criticised the length of time it has taken for a new site to be chosen, says that patients will be inconvenienced by building work taking place adjacent to the current Hospital.
He made the comments after Health Minister Andrew Green revealed earlier this month that the General Hospital plot was now his preferred choice for the future hospital.
The announcement comes after years of searching for an appropriate site – a search which cost the States more than £5 million between February 2012 and January of this year.
