In the last ten days, seven thefts from unsecured outbuildings have been reported to the States police.
In a statement, the force said: ‘Although Jersey is a very safe Island with few cases such as this, crimes of this nature are usually carried out by opportunistic criminals and if everybody remembers to lock their doors and windows you can greatly reduce the potential for being a victim of crime.’
Anyone with information about a recent bike theft is being asked to phone the States police on 612612.
