Gorst in Brussels for talks on EU tax issues

Senator Ian Gorst was due to return from Belgium – which is still under heightened security conditions following the terror attacks in Paris and subsequent alerts in Brussels – on Thursday morning after a series of meetings with EU ambassadors, commissioners and Members of the European Parliament.

During his visit, the Chief Minister met Pierre Moscovici, the European Commissioner for Economic Affairs, Taxation and Customs.

He also updated the commissioner on Jersey’s continued work on international financial regulation schemes.
