The Island’s most senior-ranking detective is appealing for drivers and pedestrians who were in Grande Route de St Laurent between 2 am and 3 am on 5 December, the night the 20-year-old disappeared, to come forward.

CCTV footage appears to show a man, who police believe to be Mr Lynch, walking near and in the grounds of Thistle Grove commercial estate, not far from Bon Air Riding Stables, at 2.17 am.

Now Detective Superintendent Stewart Gull has urged anyone who was in the road to contact police, even if they believe they did not see anything.

Det Supt Gull chaired another multi-agency gold group meeting last night and this morning the police confirmed that the senior emergency services staff who attended had agreed to continue searches until at least the early part of next week.
