THE Supertri Pro Series Final has announced some of the sport’s biggest names ready to re-ignite triathlon’s defining rivalry around Jersey’s Marina.

Men’s Olympic champion Alex Yee (white), Olympic silver medallist Hayden Wilde and reigning world champion Matt Hauser are all confirmed to grace the start line at the Marina, setting up the first encounter between long-time rivals Yee and Wilde for over a year.
Competing in the Women’s bracket, fellow Olympic champion Cassandre Beaugrand will line up against the sport’s most decorated female Olympian and Supertri’s most successful athlete, Georgia Taylor-Brown, reigning Supertri champion Jeanne Lehair and former European champion Jolien Vermeylen.
The pair have produced a series of memorable races over the years to culminate in one of – if not the – hottest rivalry in the sport, with a health $800,000 prize purse up for grabs.
Their most famous battle came at the Paris 2024 Olympics, when Wilde led the race before Yee produced a stunning comeback to overturn a 14-second deficit and claim gold.
Jersey has its own history with the two rivals, both previously having raced on the Island in 2021 when Yee pipped the win from crowd-favourite Jonny Brownlee (pictured above), while Wilde completed the podium in third.

As the pair last shared a start line at the World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS) race in the French Riviera, their time away from regular short-course competition has seen Hauser (left) step up to take the 2025 WTCS title.
His crowning moment took place on home soil in Wollongong, Australia.
Michael D’hulst, CEO and Co-Founder of Supertri, said: “This is a huge year for Supertri as we truly unify professional and amateur racing.
“Our new Pro Series is the very pinnacle of short-course racing, and we cannot think of a better stage for the Final than Supertri’s spiritual home of Jersey.
“To have athletes of the calibre of Alex, Hayden and Matt going head-to-head at the Waterfront is going to make for an incredible spectacle. The stakes have never been higher, and the field reflects that.
“We know how much energy the Jersey crowd brings to Supertri and we can’t wait to see the Marina come alive again in September.”

The Pro Series Final will be raced over Supertri’s fast and relentless format of three back-to-back rounds of swim, bike and run.
It is the culmination of a revamped season in which athletes compete as individuals across three qualifying events, with the top three finishers per gender at each qualifier earning their place on the Jersey start line alongside Supertri’s all-star roster.
The winners will take the lion’s share of the $800,000 purse, the largest single-day prize fund in triathlon this season.

Jersey holds a special place in Supertri’s story.
The island hosted the format’s first-ever full outing in 2017 and has since staged races in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2025.
Its technical course, dramatic Marina setting and passionate crowds make it a firm favourite among the world’s leading triathletes.
Now, five years after Yee and Wilde last raced on Jersey soil, one of triathlon’s greatest rivalries is heading back to the Waterfront — this time with a world champion waiting to disrupt the competition.
The Supertri Pro Series Final takes place at the Marina on the morning of Sunday 6 September.
A full start list and further event information are set to be released shortly.
