IT was a weekend of wild weather and wild scorelines across the island as Jersey’s Premiership and Championship fixtures battled through brutal conditions.
Relentless rain and strong winds made for testing afternoons across the board, but that didn’t stop several sides from finding their rhythm — none more so than Jersey Wanderers, who turned in a dominant display to extend their unbeaten run at the top of Premiership 1.
Premiership 1
At St Peter, Wanderers First Team cruised to a convincing 6–0 victory despite the swirling wind and rain. Harry Scott led the charge with a clinical hat-trick, while Jack Hardisty netted twice and an own goal completed the rout.
Following a cagey opening stanza, the visitors handled the conditions with composure and purpose in the second half. Harry Scott’s attacking intent proved too much for the St Peter back line, and Wanderers ensured it was a comfortable afternoon despite the weather.
At Boulivot, Grouville also impressed — producing a commanding 5–0 win over Madeira. Harrison Moon scored twice, including an opener after just four minutes.

Blake Derbyshite and Andre Nunes added further goals before Fabio Pestana rounded off the scoring midway through the second half.
The result marks Grouville’s first league win of the season, and with back-to-back victories now under their belt, the Blues will aim to carry that momentum into their trip to St Ouen on the 15th.
Over at St Clement, there was far less to separate the sides. The home team and St Paul’s played out a 0–0 draw in testing conditions, both defences standing firm as neither could find a breakthrough.
It was a contest that reflected the elements — scrappy, physical, and hard-fought, but with few clear-cut chances.
St Clement will now take a week’s break before their next outing against bottom of the table Madeira on 15th November.
Meanwhile, St Brelade edged St Ouen 1–0 in a tense and windswept encounter. A tight first half saw few opportunities as the weather dictated play, but the hosts grew stronger as the match wore on.
The decisive moment came courtesy of Paul McKay, who pounced on a loose ball and produced a moment of real quality — spotting the goalkeeper off his line before lofting a superb 30-yard chip into the net to see out a valuable three points against a spirited St Ouen outfit.
Championship 1
There was late drama in the Championship as St Ouen’s Reserves rescued a point in the final moments against Jersey Wanderers Reserves, drawing 3–3 in a back-and-forth contest.
Kalem Taylor and Jack Browning each netted first half goals to head into half time at 2-2. With Dominic Pougeolle and Kacper Smilek replying for the visitors.
Wanderers’ Zac Traynor’s second-half strike looked to have secured the win. But Pougeolle’s stoppage-time equaliser earned the yellows a deserved share of the spoils, keeping them within a point of Grouville Reserves. St Ouen’s sit second with 11 points but have a game in hand on the league leaders.
Elsewhere, St Clement Reserves claimed an impressive 5–2 win over St Brelade Reserves. Taylor Roche and Josh Griffiths struck in quick succession midway through the first half to overturn an early deficit, with Griffiths later adding his second to seal the victory.
Louis Guillard and Alex Mottram were also on target for St Clement, while St Brelade’s goals came via Leonardo Figuera and Alex Kilpatrick.
The result moves St Clement level on 11 points with St Ouen’s Reserves, though they’ve played two more games than their promotion rivals.
