The Roses are ‘five from five’ so far in Liverpool and have already secured a spot in the semi-finals, but the Proteas are also unbeaten and will be just as keen to top Group G and maintain momentum.

Victory for captain Guthrie and Co will secure a last-four bout with New Zealand on Saturday afternoon, after the Silver Ferns lost their Group F decider to Australia this morning.

In arguably the match of the tournament so far, New Zealand rallied in the final quarter to leave the Diamonds wobbling, although the defending champions held on for a 50-49 triumph to top the pool.

Australia will meet the loser of England v South Africa in the first semi-final on Saturday morning.
