Rugby: Reds sign four more

Sport | Published:

JERSEY REDS have added a further four players to their squad for next season's Greene King IPA Championship campaign.

Island rugby fans will be familiar with one of them, Tonga international centre Apukuki Ma'afu being a fixture in the Jersey midfield as they put in a tremendous spurt to reach the British and Irish Cup final. Signed last season in the midst of an injury crisis, he has proved his worth time and time again in a rock-solid partnership with Jordan Davies.

The three new signings are all young with huge promise, two of them forwards: Rory Bartle, the London Scottish captain, and Sale Sharks' Matt Rogerson. Another centre, Mark Best from Ulster, is the other to pledge his talents to St Peter.
