The current European longboard champion, representing Great Britain at the World Championships, has been in superb form all week, winning three of his five qualifying heats outright to reach today’s final.

Yesterday, the 28-year-old former Victoria College student scored 16.27 points to again win his heat and book a place in the final. Skinner saw off competition from South African Tomas King – for the second time this week – as well as France’s Delpero brothers, Edouard and Antoine.

King scored 13.76 points to clinch the second available spot in the final.
