Old rival awaits Clayton in Bermuda

Clayton admits that there are problems associated with being the top seed, but feels that it may actually work in his favour.

‘There is added pressure as top seed, but your opponents will also fear you more,’ said the 19-year-old.

‘They know that the top seed is expected to beat them. I think it should give me an advantage because they’ll be trying too hard to beat me and end up missing shots they should be making.’

Jersey player/manager James Connelly has also been seeded – at number five – and both he and Clayton have received a bye through the opening round.
