The quartet of La Moye’s Elaine Pushman, Gloria Paradiso, Frances Shaw and newcomer Helen Lagadu, from St Clement, have been preparing hard under the guidance of La Moye professional Mike Deeley.
Jersey Ladies Golf Association president Patricia Parkin said: ‘The team has worked hard on their games. We’ve even had sessions with Mike Deeley at La Moye in rough areas which are likely to be similar to the Bermuda grass that we will be playing on.
‘Mike has had the players treading on balls in the long grass and then playing wedge shots and although it has been challenging, the sessions went well and they have been extremely useful.’
