Last year Mansell, then racing for Team Jersey with Richard Tanguy, won the Geomarine-sponsored race in a spectacular sprint finish but there was to be no such drama this time around.
The returning champion was well protected by his impressive UK Youth colleagues for the duration of the hour-long race – though he certainly earned the right to sprint home.
