A team to be proud of

The 16-strong KPMG-sponsored team for 2013 NatWest Island Games consists of seven women and nine men, all with proven quality and undoubted potential.

As expected the headline selections are in the men’s team, with Commonwealth Games men Simon Le Couilliard and Ian Black returning to attempt to add to their huge haul of IG medals.

After the recent final selection meet the selectors had 13 swimmers who had qualified in their own right and they then added the next fastest 100m freestylers – so there were the fastest four in this discipline in both teams.
